Head of US Transformation Delivery

Role Summary

The role will develop and oversee the delivery of an integrated US transformation plan, with direct delivery responsibility for some aspects of the plan, as well as co-ordination across all delivery programs and projects delivering into the US Business, challenge on all programs, projects, and delivery leads.  Critically, the transformation plan needs a strong pro-active lead to identify and resolve critical dependencies between streams, identify and manage key transition states, build plans that clearly articulate the impacts for clients, colleagues, and business performance.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • The Head of US Transformation Delivery will be accountable for establishing a single governance forum for all US program and project deliveries, underpinned by an integrated US delivery plan, supported by appropriate project and program artefacts, including but not limited to risk, assumption, issue and dependency management, investment cost performance and return on investment.
  • Optimization of project resources
  • Efficient sequencing of deliverables to minimize disruptions to clients and colleagues.
  • Management of key stakeholders to secure support for transformation objectives.
  • Support for any M&A transactions, including preparation for an EQ transaction.
  • Creation of a cultural change program to shift business performance ready for the next stage of growth.
  • Optimization of third party spend and expansion of third-party outsourcing, such as Print and Mail.
  • Development and delivery of a Property Strategy, including appropriate BCP arrangements in country and offshore, as appropriate.
  • Collaborating with other members of the US Transformation Leadership Team to build out a rolling three-year portfolio of work including increasing levels of automation, self-service, continuous improvement, deployment of digital and AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology, and resolution of any technology debt required to meet the business’s needs, post integration and transformation.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviors:

  • Collaboration – this role requires an individual who can navigate and influence and challenge across the group at a senior level and across complex multi-faceted programs
  • Complexity - be able to define and resolve complex issues with clear communication and planning and to align multiple requirements and inter-dependencies
  • Outcome-focused and determined to hit key milestones/targets and all deliverables
  • Communicate orally and written in an engaging and effective way
  • Regulated Financial Services Technology Transformation - the ideal candidate must have deep expertise in leading transformation initiatives within highly regulated financial services technology environments. This includes a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks, and the ability to navigate the regulatory landscape effectively during transformation efforts. The successful candidate will demonstrate a record of accomplishment of achieving transformation objectives that align with regulatory standards and enhance operational efficiency, risk management, and technological innovation.
  • Offshoring Expertise - the candidate must bring to the table substantial experience in the strategic offshoring of operational and analytics roles on a large scale. This includes skills in identifying, evaluating, and executing offshoring opportunities that align with the company’s strategic objectives, cost reduction goals, and efficiency improvements. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to manage the complexities associated with offshoring, such as cultural differences, communication barriers, and time zone challenges, ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence. Experience in establishing offshoring centers of excellence, managing vendor relationships, and developing frameworks for continuous improvement and quality assurance in offshore locations is essential.
  • Change Management Expertise - the candidate must possess a proven record of accomplishment in leading the change management aspects of large-scale business transformations. This includes designing and implementing change management strategies that effectively address the human factors of change, ensuring high levels of engagement, adoption, and resilience across all levels of the organization.
  • Previous experience of defining strategic transformation, translating strategy into delivery plans and building full life-cycle delivery teams to execute against exacting change standards in regulated environments
  • Previous experience of transformational change, in a structured and controlled environment
  • IT experience
  • Operations experience
  • Target Operating Model (TOM) experience
  • Data, integration, and enterprise architecture experience
  • Experience of operating across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience of corporate development activity and transaction types

Compensation

  • $150,000-$170,000 annually
