Take on a key leadership position as our Director of Project Management! Based in our vibrant, data-driven Westlake office, you will lead a talented team of project managers to execute complex, cross-functional initiatives. This is your chance to shape project governance, promote delivery excellence, and align technical solutions with strategic business objectives. We are looking for a hands-on, results-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes environments—especially those related to claims and payment data. If you are passionate about transforming SQL-heavy workflows into clear, actionable plans and enjoy mentoring teams to achieve success, we want you on our team!

What Your Responsibilities Will Look Like:

· Oversee the project management processes, templates, and tools with a focus on standardization and repeatability.

· Manage and mentor a team of project managers, ensuring adherence to project governance, timelines, and deliverables.

· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including executive leadership to define project priorities, scope, and strategic alignment.

· Proactively identify project risks and dependencies and develop mitigation strategies.

· Lead the end-to-end execution of complex, cross-functional claim and payment data projects.

· Ability to translate complex technical and SQL-based data solutions into clear, actionable plans for stakeholders.

· Ensure strong alignment between technical teams and business objectives.

· Support pre-sales or client onboarding efforts by contributing to technical project planning and feasibility.

· Monitor and report on key project metrics, timelines, deliverables, and resource utilization.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives for project management methodologies in a data-centric environment.

· Serve as an escalation point for project risks and conflicts.

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

· Must have high level of professional poise and comfort when leading discussions with decision makers, end-users and IT professionals.

· Must have demonstrated ability to ask questions of the business, formulate action plans, and execute and deliver successful projects independently and of high quality.

· Develop a deep understanding of the various business products, processes, applications and technology platforms and effectively communicate the same.

Qualifications to Be Director, Project Management:

· 10+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

· Previous experience in the Healthcare, Property & Casualty, and/or Pharmacy Benefit Management insurance industry with a thorough understanding of claim and payment processing. Familiarity with healthcare data formats and compliance (e.g., HIPAA, claims, EDI data).

· High sense of accountability, owning one’s work and taking pride in it; commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

· Polished verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail, excellent organization with outstanding documentation and follow-up discipline.

· Exceptional critical thinking skills with a solution focused perspective. This position requires demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills at all levels of business, including interacting with staff and external business parties at senior levels.

·  Demonstrated success in leading project teams through complex initiatives with competing priorities and tight deadlines. Well organized and detail oriented with demonstrated effective time management. The ability to effectively manage a dynamic daily schedule and workload flexibility is required.

· The ideal candidate will have a self-starter attitude, ability to work with ambiguity, ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to take initiative in problem solving.

· High level of proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, Smartsheet) and Microsoft projects (Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).

· Expertise in managing client issues and relationships; proven experience in building and growing relationships.

· Ability to travel on an as-needed basis.

· Experience with Agile, Scrum, and hybrid methodologies.

· Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
