Platform Engineer
Skills
- 4-7+ years in platform, infrastructure, or observability engineering
- Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible for IaaS and configuration automation
- Administration experience with Linux and Windows systems
- Expertise in DevOps tools including CI/CD, Jenkins, and Git
- Strong understanding of observability frameworks, metrics, and incident automation
- Fluency in SQL and data modeling with BI tools like Sigma or Looker
- Experience building scalable RESTful API integrations
- Basic networking knowledge including DNS, DHCP, switching, and firewall
- Familiarity with access control, video surveillance, and IoT technologies
Responsibilities
- Build and support safety and security platforms with leading-edge technology
- Design telemetry, alerting, and metrics dashboards to monitor uptime and performance
- Develop APIs and integration layers between safety systems and enterprise platforms
- Use SQL and visualization tools to enhance real-time operational awareness
- Engineer automated, self-healing solutions for fault detection and resolution
- Deploy cloud and on-prem infrastructure and observability solutions
- Establish data pipelines for sensor, IoT, and infrastructure signal analysis
- Champion security, compliance, and resilience in engineering decisions
- Support CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code workflows with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and Git
- Translate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Create and maintain automation systems for IoT devices
Education
- Relevant technical education or equivalent practical experience
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification or commitment to obtain within 12 months
