As a Recruiter supporting both Advertising Sales and News/Editorial functions, you’ll manage full life-cycle recruitment for roles that help shape the future of storytelling, journalism, and media innovation.
This position requires creativity, collaboration, and curiosity as you partner with hiring teams across ABC News, ABC Owned Television Stations, and Disney Advertising Sales. You’ll play a pivotal role in identifying and attracting top-tier talent who drive compelling creative, journalistic integrity, strategic marketing, and revenue growth.

As a Recruiter, you’ll provide critical support to teams that include editorial producers, on-air talent, marketing experts, digital journalists, ad sales strategists, and operations professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute full life-cycle recruitment plans to identify, evaluate, and employ top talent for roles across Ad Sales, News, and Editorial Ensure exceptional service delivery for candidates, clients, internal teams, and recruiting partners
Create strategic sourcing plans including competitor mapping, talent pipelining, and forecasting timeframes for complex searches
Utilize innovative sourcing methods to attract passive talent, including resume mining, social media, employee referrals, and professional networks
Attract, influence, and convert passive candidates by communicating the Disney employment value proposition and understanding competitive market dynamics
Collaborate with hiring managers and HR business partners to understand department culture, team needs, and business strategies
Maintain high standards of candidate experience and client account management throughout the recruitment process Conduct in-depth phone/video screens to assess candidate interest, qualifications, and salary expectations
Guide candidates and hiring teams through the selection process, offer negotiation, and onboarding, ensuring a seamless candidate journey
Partner with Compensation and Hiring Managers to define competitive and compelling job offers Continuously build business knowledge of the media, news, and advertising industries to inform recruiting decisions
Maintain transparency and timely updates through documentation in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and related platforms Represent Disney at networking events, industry conferences, and recruitment fairs
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in full life-cycle recruiting, ideally in a media, digital, or corporate environment
Demonstrated ability to partner with hiring teams and HR to design and implement recruiting strategies
Experience sourcing for a wide variety of roles, including editorial, production, sales, and various functions
Proven success using social media and sourcing platforms to identify and engage passive talent Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., Workday or similar)
Strong consultative skills with the ability to influence decisions and build trust with stakeholders
Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and work collaboratively within a team
Comfortable working in a complex, fast-paced, and matrixed organizational environment
Results-oriented with a high attention to detail and a passion for delivering great candidate experiences
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience recruiting for roles in advertising sales, digital journalism, or news production Familiarity with the media industry and knowledge of Disney’s segments and brands Background working in a corporate recruiting team supporting multiple lines of business
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
The hiring range for this remote position is $81,800 to $114,800 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job Posting Segment:
