Sales Director, Advertising (Mid-Market)

Demandbase is a leading B2B account-based go-to-market platform empowering companies with AI-powered insights and a unified view of intent data. We are seeking a Sales Director for Mid-Market Advertising to lead and coach a team of Advertising Account Directors, driving media revenue growth within existing accounts through strategic leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Skills

  • 7–10+ years experience in ad tech, media sales or digital advertising with 3+ years managing sales teams
  • Strong ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder brand-direct sales cycles
  • Experience coaching both senior and early-career sellers with a track record of performance improvement
  • Familiarity with DSPs and digital media platforms such as The Trade Desk and StackAdapt
  • Proficiency with Salesforce for reporting and pipeline management
  • Strong communication and feedback skills
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies like MEDDPICC and SPIN
  • Leadership drive with a hands-on approach

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coach a team of 5+ Advertising Account Directors focused on expanding media spend within existing accounts
  • Support sales reps in complex, brand-direct cycles by providing strategic guidance and addressing customer challenges
  • Develop structured coaching and professional growth plans for sellers at various experience levels
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, RevOps, and sales teams to execute cohesive go-to-market strategies
  • Contribute to forecasting, reporting, and sales process enhancements using Salesforce tools
  • Drive adoption and adaptation of the advertising playbook tailored to varying rep styles and account environments
  • Serve as a strategic voice within the advertising leadership team on team structure and future hiring
  • Ensure team understands the integration of the advertising platform within broader ABM and B2B GTM strategies
  • Support scaling the team from 5 to 6–7 Account Directors
  • Report to VP of Advertising and work closely with executive stakeholders
