The Position:
The Head of Leadership Development is responsible for driving a comprehensive leadership development strategy to cultivate strong, capable leaders across critical cohorts and high potential talent. This role will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs that enhance leadership capabilities, align with business objectives, and build a sustainable leadership pipeline. In addition, this role will help design and embed the enterprise leadership model as the foundation of CSL programs and expectations. The ideal candidate is a strategic and innovative thinker with a deep understanding of leadership development, talent management, and organizational effectiveness.
Requirements:
Develop and implement a long-term leadership development strategy that aligns with the company’s 2035 long range plan, our culture and overall talent strategy.
Lead the prioritization and development and implementation of success profiles for leadership cohorts.
Establish and embed a leadership model to guide development initiatives across all leadership levels and lead the assessment of all development programs against this model.
Partner with succession planning efforts to ensure consistent successor assessment and a strong pipeline of future leaders. Maintain active involvement in the development of GLG successors and enterprise key talent
Lead the strategy for and deliver leadership experiences including but not limited to executive summit, cohort sessions and ongoing networks and communities of practice.
Program Design & Implementation
Design and oversee leadership development programs, including executive coaching & assimilation, mentoring, high-potential programs, and manager capability building.
Introduce innovative learning methodologies, including digital learning, experiential learning, and action-based leadership development.
Partner with external thought leaders, vendors, and institutions to bring cutting-edge leadership practices to the organization.
Select and manage preferred vendors for unique and meaningful leadership development experiences.
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
Collaborate with senior executives, HR business partners, L&D business partners, and functional leaders to ensure leadership programs address business needs.
Serve as an advisor and coach to senior leaders, helping to shape leadership behaviors and organizational culture.
Communicate program impact and value through metrics, reporting, and storytelling.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
Develop key performance indicators to measure program effectiveness and leadership impact.
Utilize data and feedback to continuously refine and enhance leadership programs.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging research, and best practices in leadership development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
10+ years of experience in leadership development, talent management, or organizational development.
Proven track record in designing and delivering leadership development programs at scale.
Experience working with senior executives and facilitating executive development initiatives.
Strong ability to influence, collaborate, and drive change in a complex, global organization.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
Knowledge of learning technologies, assessments, and leadership frameworks.
