Senior Tax Accountant
Skills
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP tax accounting, particularly ASC 740.
- Experience with federal, state, and international income tax laws and technology sector tax issues.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables, complex formulas.
- Familiarity with tax software such as OneSource Tax Provision Software.
- Proficiency with ERP systems like NetSuite and understanding of general ledger.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong project management abilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Prepare US GAAP quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
- Support finance in preparation of tax footnotes per SEC standards.
- Calculate quarterly US federal and state tax estimates and extensions.
- Review annual income tax returns and provide data to tax return preparers.
- Address ad hoc tax queries related to federal, state, and indirect taxes.
- Prepare and submit US sales and use tax returns and manage exemption certificates.
- Monitor tax and audit compliance deadlines for multiple jurisdictions.
- Research and analyze federal, state, and international tax laws for compliance and planning.
- Assist with tax planning strategies including R&D credits, international tax, and M&A projects.
- Respond to notices from tax authorities and support tax audits.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation.
