Overview

This position is responsible for co-managing the utilization of the facility's beds in the ADT and Tele-tracking systems. This position works collaboratively with the Hospital Shift Supervisors and all departments to prioritize bed assignments for all inpatient, observation and surgical day patients. Individuals in this position will be required to ensure all accommodation and patient types are correct and appropriate for the level of care.

If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all patient admits with House Shift Supervisor and inpatient nursing units.
  • Performs data management and participates in regular review and quality checks of computer system information.
  • Completes registrations in a timely manner.
  • Obtains, manages and shares information pertaining to Patient Placement Specialists functions.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years experience Healthcare-related experience, Customer Service, or Business Office experience. High levels of multi-tasking in a high volume atmosphere with constant phone contact required. Education accepted in lieu of experience; Associates or above.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $17.51/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
