Overview

Provides health care services using medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic and related procedures to demonstrate vascular structures for interpretation and/or therapeutic intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognized patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Responsibilities

• Performs vascular imaging procedures per department policy and procedure protocol.
• Assists radiologist in all appropriate vascular imaging and interventional procedures.
• Performs essential RIS HIS functions.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree Graduate of an AMA or JRCERT approved Radiologic Technology program. and 1-2 years experience in general diagnostic radiology required. Directly related Interventional Radiology work preferred. or
• Other Recent Graduate of IR program or in IR training program. or 1-2 years experience in general diagnostic radiology required. Directly related Interventional Radiology work preferred.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT
• Professional registration (ARRT or equivalent) Required
• Current CEUs per ARRT requirements Required
• BLS certification Required

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $33.23/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
