Customer Service Representative

Description

This position will be located at one of our Calera, Pelham, or Alabaster branches.


We have grown and are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing customer relationships, as well as contributing to the overall success of our bank.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly and accurately addressing customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person
  • Open new accounts, process account transactions, and assist customers with account maintenance
  • Handle over-the-counter account transactions for customers, including check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, & loan payments
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills

Requirements

What you will need to succeed:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus
  • Prior cash handling experience, required
  • Previous experience in customer service, banking, or a related field is preferred
  • A smile and a great attitude
  • Highly developed sense of integrity and strong work ethic
  • Personable and outgoing; able to talk with customers and build rapport and relationships
  • Great attention to detail and providing accurate service
  • Technically savvy; able to use multiple computer systems and ability to adapt to change
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to bank policies and procedures
