As a founding ML researcher, you’ll drive foundational research and innovation in ML methodologies that power our core experiences. This role is ideal for someone passionate about pushing the theoretical boundaries of AI, rapidly translating research into practical applications, and thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

- Conduct cutting-edge research in large language models (LLMs), natural language processing, personalization, and related areas

- Explore, develop, and implement novel ML techniques and algorithms to enhance model performance and scalability

- Collaborate closely with ML engineers and product teams to bridge theoretical insights and production-ready models

- Publish findings in top-tier conferences and journals, and maintain active involvement in the ML research community

- Identify and leverage emerging research trends to drive continuous innovation within the company

What We’re Looking For:

- Ph.D. (preferred) or Master’s in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields

- 2+ years of research experience focused on ML, deep learning, NLP, or related areas
- Strong expertise in Python and research-oriented ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace, or JAX

- Proven track record of publications at top conferences or journals (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, ACL, EMNLP)

- Deep understanding of state-of-the-art LLM techniques, reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF), prompt engineering, or related methods

- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly

Bonus Points:

- Experience working in applied research settings, particularly at early-state startups or research-driven companies

- Open-source contributions, especially in widely recognized ML libraries or research tools

- Experience transitioning academic research projects into production-ready systems

- Strong network and connections with academic or industry research communities
