Job Description

The Graduate Research Assistant, under general supervision, will assist the Department of Civil Engineering with project work, conducting analysis and design of a machine and structural components on research sponsored by The Rio Grande Consortium and the ABTC Project. This research will help the student prepare for industry careers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist faculty and staff on research projects
  • Perform general office tasks
  • Assist with special projects as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science
  • Presently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University for at least nine (9) graduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done.
  • Must be in good academic standing (SAP) as demonstrated through your college; minimum 2.0 GPA
  • For work eligibility during a summer term, a student must be enrolled for at least six (6) graduate or undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done or preregistered at least six (6) undergraduate semester hours or nine (9) graduate semester hours for the upcoming fall term.
