Senior Account Executive, Corporate Affairs (Earned Media)

Burson, a global leader in communications and a part of WPP, is seeking a Senior Account Executive for their U.S. Corporate Affairs Earned Media team. The role involves contributing to client-earned media strategies and leading media relations campaigns across multiple industries in a hybrid working environment.

Skills

  • Proven track record in media relations and earned media campaigns
  • Strong writing skills tailored for senior management and diverse audiences
  • Ability to manage complex client relationships with diplomacy and consultation
  • Creative and innovative thinking for developing new media programs
  • Experience in account management combined with media relations

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing earned media relations strategies across traditional and digital/social platforms
  • Deliver media relations results supporting campaign roll-outs and key message delivery across US and international markets
  • Build and maintain relationships with targeted journalists and news influencers
  • Mentor and develop junior team members
  • Develop and grow client relationships as the primary media relations contact
  • Create and edit media materials including talking points, Q&As, and news releases
  • Research and update media lists while monitoring industry trends

Education

  • Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is typically expected
