We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join the Reflective & Digital Inks Solutions team as a Process Engineer. This position will report to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager and will support the Finishing department. This position will be responsible for reducing product and process variation, along with working alongside the divisional team to execute on strategic capital initiatives.
Project Management:
Provide project management leadership by planning, organizing, and controlling all elements of engineering involved with $1MM+ capital investments.
Through project coordination meetings and other forms of communication, oversee and coordinate the technical aspects of the project(s).
Thoroughly scope and analyze project objectives, goals, and deliverables.
Sufficiently manage numerous projects simultaneously of varying complexity.
Effectively communicate project(s) status, schedules, and milestones.
Continuously monitor and oversee contractor workmanship and execution.
Participate in Process Hazard Analysis, Management of Change, Pre StartUp Safety reviews, Process Safety Management Audits, and Incident Investigations.
Process Management:
Day to day support of product and process operations on a business critical asset(s)
Be a business partner to the site leadership team
Identify & analyze production problems using Six Sigma methodologies to control & improve manufacturing processes.
Continually improve & optimize current products through variation reduction.
Provide support for new product development and material changes as they arise by interacting with and being a member of Marketing and R&D teams.
Develop control strategies for sustaining all continuous improvement projects.
Initiate, manage & participate in safety, quality, cost & process improvement projects.
Provide ongoing process evaluation—including trials & capability studies.
Developing and implementing technical training.
Participating, leading and sponsoring various task teams.
Assisting in the development of long-term strategies.
Required:
Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, chemical, or electrical).
5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or project management
Knowledge of facilities, systems, and infrastructure within an industrial setting.
Good verbal and written communication skills among all levels of the organization. Ability to influence others and work across functions and with customers. Approachable, effective in giving/receiving feedback.
Team player, able to coordinate efforts across functions, plants, and divisions. Demonstrated ability to lead and work in a team environment. Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in addition ability to manage multiple large complex projects.
Ability to determine root cause and corrective/preventive actions with problem solving techniques such as FMEA, fishbone diagram, 5 Whys, etc. Previous Six Sigma exposure/experience.
Ability to work independently with general direction. A self starter.
Must possess applicable Technical Knowledge, Excellent Problem Solving and Project Management skills.
Preferred:
Previous experience with Autodesk (Solidworks)
Web Handling Experience
Previous experience with PSA / web based processes.
Previous experience in a 24/7 environment is preferred.
The salary range for this position is $86k - $114k/ year.
