Director of Sales Development

Apollo.io is a leading go-to-market SaaS platform that empowers revenue teams by providing access to verified B2B contact data and sales automation tools. They seek a high-energy Director of Sales Development to lead and scale their global outbound sales development team, focusing on pipeline generation and team performance.

Skills

  • Deep knowledge of outbound sales development strategies and tools (Apollo, Outreach, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proven ability to build and scale high-performing sales development teams.
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze sales metrics and optimize strategies.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps.
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of revenue pipeline metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the global BDR/SDR organization with a focus on sales pipeline generation.
  • Develop and own the outbound prospecting strategy including territory design and account prioritization.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to align on pipeline targets and lead quality.
  • Coach and develop BDR/SDR managers and individual contributors to exceed quotas.
  • Drive outbound outreach execution across phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
  • Collaborate with RevOps for tracking, reporting, and performance analysis.
  • Work with Product Marketing and Demand Generation to align messaging with ICP and personas.
  • Recruit, hire, and ramp top talent to scale team growth.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and commercial focus.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
