Senior Systems Administrator, Classified IT
Skills
- Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows OS, VMware (VxRail), Azure or AWS
- Experience with database cloning, backups, recovery, and monitoring
- Knowledge in role-based access control mechanisms (SE Linux, AppArmor, etc.)
- Scripting skills in Python, Go, Bash, Rust or similar
- Experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows workstations and Windows/Linux servers
- Assist with installation and setup of system hardware from bare metal to OS
- Serve as Technical Lead for the Washington D.C. office with cross-site communication
- Manage server performance and proactively troubleshoot issues
- Ensure security and integrity of server infrastructure via audits and measures
- Collaborate on system upgrades, patches, and migrations
- Develop automation scripts using Python and Ansible
- Support Kubernetes pod monitoring and container image deployment
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred
