Skills
- Hands-on experience designing functional test equipment.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCBA layout, preferably with Altium Designer.
- Scripting capabilities in C/C++/C#, Python, MATLAB; LabVIEW is a plus.
- Knowledge of multiple hardware communication protocols (USB, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, etc.).
- Understanding of hardware and software integration and testing processes.
- Familiarity with lab safety protocols and measurement analysis techniques.
- Experience with source code control tools such as GitHub.
Responsibilities
- Lead definition of end-of-line test plans for new products and features.
- Determine optimal test strategies to ensure safety, reliability, and risk mitigation.
- Design and execute PCBA and electrical system component testing with hands-on validation.
- Analyze test data and collaborate with design engineers to resolve product issues.
- Develop and implement next generation test automation hardware systems.
- Manage purchasing, build, integration, and commissioning of functional testers.
- Create test procedures and automation from component to system level.
- Support board bring-up, bench validation, and manufacturing test yield improvements.
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback for design for testability.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
