Role Purpose:
To concept, shoot, and edit compelling video and photo content that brings the AKT ‘Born to Perform’ ethos to life. This role is pivotal in elevating our brand storytelling across all digital platforms, engaging our community, and driving growth in the UK and US markets. You will be our visual storyteller, ensuring our content is as high-performing and characterful as our products.
About The Role:
This role is central to the Marketing team, working hands-on to create the visual identity of the brand. You will liaise daily with the Head of Brand & Marketing and Social Media Manager, and work closely with the Founders, Ed and Andy, to capture the brand's unique energy. As a fast-growing start-up that has recently launched in the US, you’ll thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment where you can see your direct impact on the business's success.
· Content Production: Deliver the end-to-end creation of world-class video and photo content, from storyboarding and shooting to final edits, for use across social media, website, email, and paid advertising.
· Social Media Content: Propel our social media presence by creating dynamic, platform-native content (especially for TikTok and Instagram Reels) that stops the scroll, builds community, and reflects current trends.
· Brand Storytelling: Translate the unique AKT brand story, founder ethos, product benefits, and sustainability mission into visually stunning and emotionally engaging narratives.
· Post-Production: Deliver all aspects of post-production, including editing, colour grading, sound design, and motion graphics to ensure a polished, premium, and on-brand final output.
· Asset Management: Establish and maintain an organised and easily accessible digital asset library, ensuring all content is correctly tagged and archived for team use.
· Creative Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team and founders to brainstorm new campaign ideas, content series, and innovative ways to showcase our products and community.
· Trend Analysis: Analyse and leverage current social media, video, and cultural trends to ensure AKT’s content remains fresh, relevant, and best-in-class.
· Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on content performance, using data and insights to optimise future creative and prove the impact of your work on key business goals.
About You:
· A strong, compelling portfolio showcasing high-quality video and photo content for digital and social media platforms.
· Proven experience managing the full content production lifecycle, from concept to final delivery.
· Expert-level proficiency with professional video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
· Advanced skills in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Lightroom/Photoshop.
· A deep understanding of what makes content engaging and successful on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
· Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
· A genuine passion for and interest in the beauty, wellness, or lifestyle sector.
· Experience with motion graphics and animation to add flair to video content.
· A creative and collaborative spirit with a passion for storytelling and brand building.
