Data Scientist II
Skills
- Proficient in machine learning, statistical modeling, and optimization techniques
- Fluent in Python including pandas, numpy, SciPy, and scikit-learn
- Strong knowledge of linear algebra and statistics
- Familiarity with scientific software best practices including versioning and reproducibility
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
- Ability to query and work with Snowflake database
Responsibilities
- Develop effective predictive models using data science and machine learning principles
- Write software to prepare, clean, and sample data for model development
- Utilize cloud resources such as AWS to process and prepare data
- Query and extract data from Snowflake databases
- Analyze and visualize data using SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and Looker
- Iterate rapidly on solutions in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment
- Solve complex, uncharted problems collaboratively within a team
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in applied math, computer science, natural sciences or engineering
- Master’s or Ph.D. preferred in related fields
