Skills
- Strong knowledge of graduate-level calculus, linear algebra, optimization, and machine learning algorithms.
- Experience researching and operating machine learning models.
- Proficiency in Python, NumPy, and Pandas.
- Experience handling large datasets (greater than 100GB CSV files).
- Familiarity with libraries such as XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch, MOSEK, CVXPY.
- Experience with Intel MKL, JAX, PySpark, Dask, Ray, ClickHouse, Vertica, or Arrow.
- Optional knowledge of C++ is a plus.
- Ability to balance model accuracy with explainability.
- Capable of communicating and defending model choices and their business value.
- Full-cycle research capability from ideation through data collection to producing actionable business insights.
- Experience applying AI to multi-modal data to derive management insights.
Responsibilities
- Build mathematical models using optimization, machine learning, and statistical techniques for evaluating investment entities and resource allocation.
- Implement and maintain code for existing evaluation models.
- Produce on-demand analytical reports and provide business commentary on investment entities.
- Operate and maintain recurring entity evaluation pipelines.
- Utilize advanced software and hardware resources and systems.
Education
- Graduate-level education in quantitative fields related to machine learning, mathematics, statistics, or finance.
