Consultant, Analytics

Position Summary

The Value Creation Team at Vista Equity Partners is seeking a highly motivated and analytically driven Consultant to join our Analytics function. This role plays a critical part in advancing data-driven decision making across Vista and its portfolio companies.

The Analytics team is responsible for the collection, reporting, and analysis of portfolio company data, working with a variety of stakeholders from across the Vista ecosystem to drive value creation through insight generation.

This role is based in Austin, TX and is for an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Build and support impactful analytics tools, including robust data models, automated workflows, and enterprise reporting solutions that enable data-driven decisions across Vista and its portfolio companies.
• Engage directly with internal teams and portfolio stakeholders, acting as a proactive, solutions-oriented partner in delivering analytics that drive business outcomes.
• Tackle ad hoc analysis with confidence, using a variety of data sources to answer business-critical questions with speed and precision.
• Promote innovation through generative AI and advanced analytics, uncovering new ways to accelerate insights and optimize operations.
• Contribute to a high-performing Analytics team, transforming data into a strategic growth lever and advancing operational excellence across Vista’s ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience at a top-tier management consultancy, investment bank, or leading SaaS company (preferably in analytics, FP&A, or data strategy roles).
• Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate institution; preferred fields include Computer Science, Finance, Economics or other quantitative disciplines.
• Proven ability to distill complex data into strategic, high-impact insights that influence executive decision-making.
• Expertise in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and business case development.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple complex projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Experience with BI and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
• Familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, Marketo) and financial planning platforms (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights) is a strong plus.
