ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our client, a leader in global financial services, is expanding its cybersecurity team and hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer focused on modern container security and DevSecOps practices. If you’re a hands-on, technically sharp security engineer with strong operational instincts and a passion for automation and security architecture—this is your chance to lead in a high-impact, high-visibility environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Own and support the full lifecycle of next-gen security technologies—design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance
Act as a senior technical escalation point (L3/L4) for container and cloud security issues
Champion automation across the security stack—collaborating with internal DevOps and AI/ML teams to eliminate inefficiencies
Drive process improvements, contribute to security playbooks, and ensure enterprise-wide compliance with emerging threats and standards
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Protect Squad, providing guidance on strategy and implementation of security initiatives
Stay ahead of the curve with cutting-edge container security practices and modern cloud-native tooling
WHAT YOU BRING:
6+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience, including container security and cloud integration
Deep hands-on experience with Docker, Podman, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and CNAPP tools
Solid grasp of CI/CD pipelines and security policies using GitOps, Jenkins, and Infrastructure-as-Code
Strong understanding of cloud security (especially AWS) and microservices architecture
Clear communicator—able to explain technical risks to senior leadership and collaborate cross-functionally
Bonus if you have certifications like CISSP, CCSP, or relevant cloud credentials
