Summary of Job Duties:

The Department of Biomedical Engineering is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to:
Conduct research to fulfill aims of AHA AIREA Grant
Develop novel balloon-catheter and stent prototypes for bifurcation lesion treatment
Test novel devices in appropriate benchtop models
Analyze patient data for trends in bifurcation structures
Disseminate research results through authorship of journal articles, conference papers, and invention disclosures
Advise and mentor undergraduate students in work related to overall project goals, which may include work related to honor's theses.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Research experience in biomedical engineering or related field

  • Good communication skills in writing and oral presentation

  • Good skills in project planning, project management, and documentation


Additional Information:

This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.

$57,398.50
