Job Description

We’re looking for a Benefits & Wellness Specialist who brings passion, critical thinking, and an eye for detail to everything they do. In this position, you will play a key role in improving our benefits and wellness programs at Trek. We are looking for someone who can bring a hospitality mindset to HR to ensure that every interaction is met with empathy and clarity.

This role is based at Trek HQ in Waterloo, WI – with flexibility for hybrid work 

How You’ll Make an Impact:

Benefits Administration

  • Administer all of our benefit plans & programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans and leave programs 
  • Provide incredible hospitality to employees with questions regarding their benefits and enrollment eligibility 
  • Coordinate with external vendors/brokers to ensure a seamless process for both employees and vendors 
  • Partner with the Benefits & Wellness Manager on plan design to ensure we are meeting the current needs of our employees 

Wellness Program Management

  • Support our wellness program initiatives in partnership with our onsite clinic and support staff to promote employee health and wellbeing  
  • Organize wellness events and educational sessions for employees  
  • Drive employee participation in wellness offerings and help us on our mission to be the healthiest company on the planet 

Compliance and Reporting 

  • Conduct regular audits of benefit programs to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations as it relates to benefit/wellness programs  
  • Research and incorporate best practices into our wellness programs

What You'll Bring to the Role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration 
  • Strong knowledge of health, dental, vision, retirement plans, leave administration and wellness programs 
  • Experience managing Employee Stock Ownership Programs (ESOP). 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Proficiency in benefits management software and Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or similar certification is a plus 

Compensation Range: $70-80k/annually
