Job Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time, with a 1-hour break
Salary: $1,000 per month
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Virtual Legal Assistant to support a demand writer in preparing and managing medical payment (med pay) demands. This role involves general legal administrative tasks such as follow-ups, correspondence, and tracking payments. While prior med pay experience is a plus, it is not required—we welcome candidates with strong administrative and legal support skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and organization of med pay demands
- Follow up on issued checks and outstanding payments
- Draft and send correspondence to relevant parties (providers, insurers, clients, etc.)
- Maintain and update case files and documentation in an organized, secure system
- Track deadlines, payment schedules, and related task statuses
- Communicate effectively with internal team members and external contacts as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a legal assistant or administrative assistant in a legal setting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in handling sensitive and confidential information
- Experience with Filevine or similar legal case management software
- Med pay experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritize tasks
