The Program Coordinator I, under general supervision, coordinates the planning, development and implementation for first and second year experience and transfer programs. This position works to increase student support and enhance persistence toward graduation.
This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates, markets, evaluates and maintains program records and databases regarding all components of the respective student support programs within the department.
Collaborates with various entities on campus (Alumni Relations, Career Services, Academic Affairs departments, etc.) and in the community in the development, coordination and implementation of various joint programs relative to the success of freshman and sophomore students.
Provides oversight of student activities within the department and serves as chaperone for program activities, community service and cultural events sponsored by the department
Plans and implements program events such as conferences, seminars, lectures, meetings and workshops designed to enhance student success; Assists in preparation and monitoring of budgets for programs and events and assists in identifying funding opportunities and developing funding proposals.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree.
Two years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree.
