Job Description

About the role
As the Director, Paid Marketing you will lead and execute marketing strategies focused on driving customer acquisition and growth at Spanx. In this role, you will develop data-driven marketing campaigns, work with cross-functional teams, and collaborate with Product, Digital, and Creative teams to optimize and streamline our marketing efforts. You will analyze market trends and implement effective strategies to increase revenue by reaching high-value prospects. You will also manage performance metrics and ensure all initiatives are aligned with overall business goals and objectives.

This role is based in our NYC headquarters, requires weekly in-office work Tuesday-Thursday, and reports to our Vice President, Growth & Performance Marketing.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $175,000. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills, and experience.

Bridge measurement & performance: 

  • Proactively provide insights and perspectives to address challenges and improve outcomes 

  • Continuously monitor and assess progress against set goals to ensure objectives are being met. 

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of measurement methodologies and effectively manage an analyst to ensure accurate and actionable results. 

Qualifications

We require...

  • 10+ years of relevant performance marketing experience, with influencer/affiliate experience preferred 
  • Deep understanding of automation and machine learning and the levers that will increase efficiency, personalization, and ROI across the paid marketing ecosystem 
  • Comprehension of multiple measurement approaches, including multi-touch attribution models, incrementality testing and media mix modeling 
  • Strong collaboration with analytics and data science teams to design, implement, and validate measurement frameworks 
  • Experience building and maintaining a structured learning agenda to test hypotheses, validate media impact, and scale successful tactics 
  • Expert-level understanding of Meta Ads Manager and/or Google Ads, with a proven track record of driving efficient customer acquisition 
  • Understanding of how to use creative as a performance lever, especially creative diversification 
  • Leads and mentors a high-performing team of channel specialists, analysts, and external partners; empowers the team by fostering a culture of accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement across paid media execution 
  • Leading & Deciding: Takes responsibility for actions, projects and people; takes initiative and works under own direction; initiates and generates activity and introduces change into work processes. 
  • Analyzing & Interpreting: Writes convincingly, clearly, succinctly and correctly; applies specialist and detailed technical expertise; uses technology to achieve work objectives; develops job knowledge and expertise; analyzes numerical data and all other sources of information, to break them into component parts. 
  • Creating Interdependence: Promotes higher level of collaboration within their teams and drive higher levels of performance in their teams by empowering their teams to problem solve and make decisions autonomously; insists members work out their problems together rather than provide easy solutions; trusts others’ wisdom in making independent decisions. 
  • Enterprising & Performing: Accepts and tackles demanding goals with enthusiasm; works hard and puts in longer hours when necessary; identifies business opportunities for the organization; maintains awareness of developments in the organizational structure and politics.
