Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies with performance metrics for business and production success
- Manage inventory levels, reorder points, and part retention policies to optimize warehouse space and costs
- Collaborate closely with engineering to manage critical spares and bill of materials
- Automate repetitive planning and sourcing activities to increase efficiency
- Monitor inventory demand and initiate purchase signals to sustain healthy stock levels
- Drive cost control efforts including contract award presentations, cost reviews, and develop should-cost models
- Liaise between supply chain and engineering during new product introduction and supplier management
- Manage the supply base lifecycle from concept to end-of-life ensuring continuity of supply
- Create purchase orders, ensure timely delivery, resolve invoices and meet quality and cost targets
Education
- Advanced degree preferred or bachelor's degree with relevant experience
