Security Software Engineer (Starshield)
Skills
- Proficiency in software development languages such as Python, C++, or Golang.
- Experience with security design and implementation for operating systems and distributed or large-scale infrastructure systems.
- Knowledge of applied cryptography, network, and OS security.
- Familiarity with secure boot processes, incident response, adversary detection, and vulnerability research.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and build security infrastructure including cryptographic and security-critical services for Starshield.
- Develop security features for routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites within the Starshield system.
- Integrate security into factory processes and support network services related to security.
- Maintain and improve existing production security systems through direct implementation and cross-team recommendations.
- Prototype and test new security improvements.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related STEM field or equivalent professional experience.
