Who We Are Looking For?

We are looking for a backend-focused Golang Developer to join a high-impact team building a social media platform focused on privacy and decentralization. You’ll work on video/audio-heavy backend systems and apply advanced AI tooling to support your engineering workflows.

Ideal candidates are highly fluent in Go, thrive in asynchronous systems, and can build performant applications with parallel tasking. The ideal candidate is pragmatic, self-managed, and available to collaborate during US Pacific Time (PT) hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, optimize, and scale backend services in Golang using goroutines and worker pools

• Support WebAssembly compilation and browser-compatible runtimes

• Integrate OpenCV and FFmpeg pipelines for video processing and manipulation

• Use AI tools like Cursor, Winsurf, and Gemini to enhance development workflows

• Design and maintain parallel execution systems for multimedia pipelines

• Support frontend teams in integrating WebAssembly backends with JS-based UIs

• Collaborate with AI tooling teams to incorporate spec-to-code generation patterns

• Ensure performance, fault tolerance, and maintainability of complex backend tasks

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in backend development with Golang

• Strong understanding of parallelism, goroutines, and worker orchestration in Go

• Familiarity with compiling Go into WebAssembly for browser integration

• Hands-on experience with OpenCV and FFmpeg for video/audio transformation tasks

• Proficient with AI-based development tools: Cursor, Winsurf, Gemini

• Able to collaborate during US Pacific Time (PT) hours

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Clear communication and async collaboration skills in remote environments

Nice to Have:

• Experience building video-based platforms or social multimedia applications

• Understanding of WebAssembly-JS interfaces or browser integration

• Previous work in distributed systems or edge-deployed WASM runtimes
