Arts + Ideas Event and Program Coordinator

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, people-loving, culture-curious Program Coordinator to help run our Arts + Ideas events—including speaker series, concerts, comedy nights, family shows, and the Seattle Jewish Film Festival. If you can wrangle volunteers, manage logistics like a pro, and thrive in fast-paced environments where no two days are the same—this is the job for you. This position pays $24.00 to $28.00 per hour based on experience.
What You'll Do:
- Manage the box office and front-of-house for year-round events and the Seattle Jewish Film Festival
- Coordinate all things ticketing, from online sales to virtual events
- Plan logistics: reserve venues, coordinate vendors, and make sure everything runs smoothly
- Communicate with patrons and provide top-notch customer service
- Support visiting artists, speakers, and sponsors
- Recruit, schedule, and lead event volunteers
- Help with outreach and partnership-building to grow audiences
- Track films and talent for future programming ideas
- Collaborate across teams and contribute to creative planning
- Work some evenings and weekends—because that’s when the magic happens!
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- 1–3 years of experience in events, customer service, arts programming, or nonprofit work
- A people person with great communication and organizational skills
- Cool under pressure, highly adaptable, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
- Tech-comfy: You know your way around Excel, Zoom, and ticketing systems (or are willing to learn)
- A collaborator who thrives in a mission-driven, inclusive community
- Reliable transportation (for occasional local travel)
