What you get to do:

The Marketing Specialist for SeaWorld Orlando supports the Integrated Marketing Manager in project managing the creation of assets, e-mails and paid media placement for SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica Orlando which includes their new attractions, consumer events, SeaWorld Rescue operations and more.

Paid Media & Marketing Calendar

  • · Manage the administrative part of trafficking for advertising creative in partnership with the Corporate Trafficking Manager and the Park Integrated Marketing Manager by keeping track of when new events and promotions need to be swapped in and older ones removed
  • · Process purchase orders, request bids from vendors, track appropriate information, and receive approvals.
  • · Assist with maintaining and distributing marketing communication calendars and announcements for current and upcoming products and events.
  • In-Park Events & Competitive Activity
  • · Track, analyze, and report on competitive activity including media/advertising, sales/promotions, and performance on an ongoing basis.
  • · Lead the recap of each of the promotional and event activities for SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica Orlando for historical reference. Lead in-park event marketing announcements to in-park teams.
  • · Manage the editorial calendar for our blogs (brand and Pass Member) including topic selection, deadline for publishing and approvals.

E-mail Content & Marketing Office Duties

  • · Support the creation of presentations, QR Codes, Wrike requests as well as asset management through SEAL.
  • · Wrike / Email briefs targeting park subscribers to drive visitation. Monitor timelines, ensure stakeholders approve.
  • · Be the backup for fulfillment of sweepstakes, radio promotions, PR/Influencer, and other ticketing/visit requests as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned including assisting with Social Media, Promotion, Public Relations, and Brand projects as needed

What it takes to succeed:

  • · Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, Journalism or related field required
  • · At least 3 years practical experience in marketing (including digital marketing), advertising (campaign planning/execution), or marketing communications
  • · Outstanding written, verbal and visual communications skills and ability to convey messages clearly and persuasively
  • · Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • · Ability to understand a strategy and use critical and creative thinking to achieve the desired outcome
  • · Ability to handle multiple priorities, be able to handle change and be able to perform well under pressure
  • · Availability to occasionally work varying hours based on business need, to include opening nights, weekends, and holidays
  • · This is an on-site position

Desired Qualifications

  • · 3 – 4 years of experience in marketing (digital marketing preferred)
  • · Prior experience at a theme park or accredited zoological facility preferred

What else is important:

  • · Must have a valid Driver’s license and able to meet company driving guidelines
  • · Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • · Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing).
  • · Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat.
  • · Work regularly Monday through Friday but with flexibility based on business need to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
