Senior Accountant
Skills
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and Advanced Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, connected sheets)
- Experience with accounting software such as QBO, Ramp, Expensify, Avalara
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing and reporting
- Manage accounts payable and vendor relationships using Ramp
- Coordinate payroll processing with HR and business partners
- Collaborate on revenue recognition and contract review with cross-functional teams
- Manage filing of state and local tax returns including sales tax with Avalara
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
- Support regulatory filings and compliance reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
- Prepare audit and tax documentation and technical accounting memos
- Participate in systems implementations and business growth initiatives
Education
- Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or related discipline
