About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief of Staff to the CEO to drive the company’s most critical initiatives at the executive level. This is not an entry-level role—this is a position for a senior operator with a background in consulting and strategy, capable of managing high-stakes projects and, when needed, stepping in to lead entire departments.
You will be a key thought partner to the CEO, helping prioritize and execute on the most important opportunities facing the business. You will also serve as a force multiplier for the leadership team—ensuring that decisions translate into action and that our growing company maintains strategic clarity as we scale.
We're excited to hire this role at Range's Headquarters in McLean, VA. All of our positions follow an in-office schedule Monday through Friday, allowing you to collaborate directly with the team. What you’ll do with us
Act as a trusted partner to the CEO—helping to shape company strategy and drive key business priorities
Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives from inception to execution, working closely with senior leaders across the company
Serve as an executive problem-solver and advisor—helping to identify issues, surface insights, and deliver actionable recommendations
Step in to lead or stabilize functional areas or teams as needed, operating at the highest level of leadership
Drive operational excellence by helping set and manage company-wide OKRs, strategic reviews, and business processes
Ensure that the CEO’s time is leveraged effectively through clear prioritization, preparation for key engagements, and proactive issue management
Represent the CEO and Range externally when needed, with a high degree of professionalism and executive presence
What will set you apart
Minimum 10+ years of professional experience, including significant experience in strategy, operations, and leadership roles
Background in top-tier management consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) strongly preferred
MBA from a top program strongly preferred
Experience operating at an executive level within high-growth companies—ideally in SaaS or related industries
Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and drive results
Exceptional problem-solving skills, business acumen, and communication abilities
Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, and taking initiative where structure may not yet exist
High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain discretion in handling sensitive information
