Role Overview:
As a Product Marketing Manager (PMM), you will be responsible for driving the go-to-market strategy, developing marketing collateral, and ensuring the company’s products are positioned effectively to meet customer needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and engineering, to bring new products to market and communicate their value. You will leverage your technical expertise to create compelling messaging and content that resonates with customers.
Key Responsibilities
Go-to-Market Strategy Development:
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new and existing products, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand technical features and translate them into clear, customer-friendly messaging.
Ensure product positioning and messaging effectively differentiate the product in the competitive landscape.
Content Creation & Messaging:
Create high-quality marketing materials, including datasheets, case studies, blog posts, product demos, and webinars.
Work with sales and customer success teams to develop customer-facing content that communicates product value.
Craft compelling email campaigns, website copy, and social media content that drives awareness and engagement.
Product Training & Enablement:
Provide product training to the sales team to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge to sell the product effectively.
Develop sales tools and collateral that align with the product messaging and drive customer acquisition.
Customer and Market Insights:
Conduct customer research to understand market needs, customer pain points, and competitor offerings.
Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to drive product improvements and strategic decisions.
Technical Product Expertise:
Leverage deep technical product knowledge to create content that resonates with both technical and business audiences.
Collaborate with engineering and data teams to ensure a strong understanding of product features, benefits, and limitations.
Qualifications
Experience & Skills:
3+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in a SaaS or data-driven environment.
Strong technical background with experience in databases, data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Datadog), or related technologies.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful product marketing strategies.
Ability to translate complex technical features into customer-centric messaging.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Tools & Proficiency:
Proficiency in marketing tools like HubSpot, Google Analytics, and social media platforms.
Experience in creating technical documentation, presentations, and sales enablement content.
Comfortable working with data-driven insights to inform product decisions and marketing strategies.
