The content creator will have the opportunity to learn online content management by participating in all aspects of the digital editorial function, including uploading and publishing written and visual content to the Graduate School website, editing materials, coordinating presentations, and ensuring digital accessibility standards are maintained. The position will also involve learning to write for both internal and external audiences, as well as adapting content to different formats. Work produced by this role will appear on the Graduate School’s websites and social media and potentially in other campus digital publications and media, as appropriate.

Qualifications

The successful applicant must have excellent (and fast) writing and editing skills and experience, and possess the ability to work with a content management system. (Drupal preferred.) Individuals who are detail-oriented and have experience and strong skills in non-academic writing and communication are encouraged to apply. This position will require light historical and biographical research. Previous coursework in communications, writing, and research is a plus. The successful candidate must be capable of meeting deadlines and handling multiple projects simultaneously. Skills in photo editing, video editing and graphic design are very valuable.

To Apply:

Submit your resume, cover letter and three writing samples in the style of news articles, feature articles, blog postings or other pieces written for a general audience. Submit social media and multimedia content, if available, and explain your role in its creation/production.
