- Experience building satellites or complex optical and electromechanical assemblies
- Proficiency reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Strong SolidWorks skills to develop tooling and fixtures
- Hands-on hardware assembly, integration, and testing experience
- Excellent attention to detail and technical writing capabilities
Responsibilities
- Support assembly, integration, and testing of satellites and subsystems
- Develop and document assembly procedures and work instructions
- Design mechanical and electrical equipment and fixtures to aid manufacturing processes
- Drive resolution of non-conformances and implement process improvements
- Recommend facility and capital equipment upgrades for scaling production
- Train production technicians to transition manufacturing from R&D to production
- Provide design for manufacturing and assembly recommendations to design teams
- Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
