SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the installation of food service equipment on construction sites from award of contract through turnover to client by effectively working with general contractors, subcontractors, trades, and support personnel. Responsible for ensuring project remains on schedule by monitoring the progress of construction daily, managing scope, and clear communication with general contractor, subcontractor, and trades.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Ensure that all safety procedures and standards are followed within the guidelines of OSHA, and federal, state, and local laws
• Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedule 
• Coordinate on-site pre-construction meetings with contractors
• Coordinate and manage all on-site activities and subcontractors, as related to our food service equipment, including providing technical resources, problem resolution and dealing with the day-to-day issues of the construction process
• Coordinate all FF&E and food service equipment deliveries
• Monitor construction for compliance with plans and specifications, as related to our food service equipment 
• Ensure punch list completion and timely project closeout
• Represent PFSbrands in appropriate manner to clients, architects, subcontractors, vendors and building management
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Education
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience is required
• Professional certifications 
• Possess and maintain valid driver’s license.
• Experience
• 2+ years’ experience in or around the construction field is required. Food service experience is preferred.
• Engineering or technical degree preferred, but can be replaced by real world experience in a similar business
• Proven track record of client satisfaction and project profitability
• Specialized Knowledge 
• Proficient with computers and basic Microsoft Office programs 
• Must be able to read and interpret maps, drawings, prints, schematics, and other written instructions
• Must be able to practice and comprehend safe work procedures as outlined in the company safety policy handbook
• Skills
• Ability to manage time and schedule effectively
• Ability to multitask and stay focused on critical objectives
• Self-starter with ability to work independently 95% of time, with leadership 5% of the time
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Persistent in nature, follow-up is a must
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with others all levels to achieve business results
• Service and sales oriented always focused on customer needs first!
• Self-motivated with good work ethic

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Able to travel overnight EXTENSIVELY by air and car – 10-15 nights per month estimated
• Work is split between a typical office setting and retail locations, including construction sites
• Pass annual review of Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) to establish and continue insurability under PFS’ corporate policies.
