Your Career
The Cloud Management Platform is a public cloud delivered management platform to manage all Palo Alto Networks Next generation network security solutions. It’s an easy-to-use, scalable and secure platform to operationalize complex deployments using the Palo Alto Networks network security portfolio.
You will work in a team of highly motivated engineers building a highly scalable and secure multi-tenant public cloud solution to manage devices in physical, virtual or container form factors. We are looking for passionate engineers that can code and build great products as well as leaders that can own and deliver. Collaboration and teamwork are at the foundation of our culture and we need engineers who can communicate at a high level and work well with others towards achieving a common goal.
Responsibilities:
As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your responsibilities will include:
Test Planning and Execution:
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans that cover all possible test cases to verify feature functionality for customer use cases.
Design and execute automation scripts for all test cases.
Automation Development:
Develop and maintain robust test automation.
Develop tools and infrastructure to enhance the quality and efficiency of testing.
Contribute to improving existing test automation frameworks to support new software features.
Defect Management:
Utilize excellent troubleshooting abilities to isolate issues found during testing.
Verify bug fixes once they are resolved and efficiently reproduce and debug issues found during and after software release.
Project Management:
Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities to ensure that feature deliverables meet release deadlines.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional product management, development, and SDET teams in a fast-paced environment.
Participate in a high-paced work environment with short release cycles and take ownership of tasks.
Experience:
Test Planning and Methodologies:
Proven experience in writing test plans and test cases with a strong understanding of SDET methodologies, tools, and procedures.
Automation:
Strong programming and/or scripting skills.
Experience in developing test automation of REST APIs using Python/Pytest.
UI automation/testing experience using Selenium/JavaScript/Playwright.
Networking knowledge:
Experience with TCP/IP Networking and Network/Cloud Security is highly desirable
Good understanding of networking concepts, L2-L7 protocols
Testing network security products, preferably with firewalls is a plus.
Cloud and CI/CD:
Experience testing Cloud Management platforms is highly desirable.
Experience in building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with Linux or Esxi Virtualization or Docker/Kubernetes is a plus
Soft Skills:
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work in fast-paced, innovative environments.
Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
Educational Qualifications:
BS or MS in Computer Engineering or a related technical field.
Minimum of 8 years' experience as a Software Developer/SDET/Software Test Engineer.

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $104000/yr - $ 195500/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
