- FCC/AML compliance and sanctions compliance expertise.
- Experience with blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic).
- Deep understanding of Customer Risk Rating models and watchlist screening engines.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory expectations for KYC/CDD and watchlist screening globally.
- Model validation and risk management in regulated environments.
- Compliance data management and quality controls.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, C#, C++, and BI tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Practical knowledge of sanctions regimes, screening system configuration and tuning.
Responsibilities
- Develop and contribute to the compliance technology roadmap for KYC and watchlist screening with FCC leads and product developers.
- Lead independent validation and effectiveness testing of Customer Risk Rating (CRR) models and sanctions/PEP screening engines.
- Drive initiatives to improve screening engine efficiency, reduce false positives, and ensure regulatory alignment.
- Design and implement model testing strategies assessing fitness, tuning, and regulatory risk coverage.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to review and challenge model and screening engine design.
- Monitor CRR model and watchlist screening performance and enhance model monitoring frameworks.
- Oversee data quality monitoring and lead remediation for KYC and watchlist screening data issues.
- Support regulatory readiness with reporting and documentation for examinations.
- Stay updated on global regulatory requirements for KYC and watchlist screening model governance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to evolve the firm's compliance technology stack.
Education
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning or related quantitative fields.
