Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for Senior Staff Electronic Warfare Systems Engineers to join our Airborne Multifunction Systems (AMS) Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team at our Linthicum, MD campus to fill roles on multiple major development programs. These include sensors for current and next generation air and sea platforms: including EA-18 Growler, SEWIP, unmanned programs, and other restricted programs and missions.

Qualified candidates will be technical subject matter experts in the electronic warfare field with strong technical leadership, technical consultation, and team-building experience. Candidates will have the opportunity to lead and build cross-disciplinary algorithms, software, firmware, and hardware team executing multiple tasks simultaneously, including but not limited to: System Architecture/Concept Development, Candidate Technology Trade Studies, Requirements Development and Derivation, Signal Processing & Algorithm Development, IQ-Level Performance Analysis, Flight Test Data Analysis, Program Milestone Reviews, Program Verification Test Planning and Preparation for Gov’t Test Facilities, and Flight Test Execution. We encourage our engineers to be innovative with solving problems and identifying improvements, as well as taking ownership for their own and their team’s performance.

Roles & Responsibilities: This position is primarily engaged in the development and fielding of Electronic Surveillance and/or Electronic Attack systems for advanced dedicated and multi-function RF subsystems.
Early in the system lifecycle, systems engineers develop parametric representations, visualizations and data driven analysis to support sensor requirements definition and use case validation. Progressing past analysis and design, Northrop Grumman Systems Engineers also support the integration of sensor modes and trackers from digital simulation environments to sensor labs to our on-site fleet of specially modified test aircraft. Throughout this process, our AMS Systems Engineers engage with our customers to balance their functional and performance requirements with other sensor functionality to enable true multi-function operation.

Salary Range: $179,600.00 - $269,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
