Cloud Engineer

Leidos is seeking a seasoned Cloud Engineer to serve as a strategic leader in shaping Air Force Commercial Cloud Services (AFC2S) solutions. Supporting the Department of the Air Force CLOUDworks, this role involves architecting advanced cloud frameworks, and driving technical innovation in a dynamic and mission-critical environment. Candidates must currently possess a TS/SCI security clearance in order to be considered.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead architecture development for Air Force cloud solutions, aligning with IC ITE and federal frameworks.

• Provide technical direction for enterprise cloud migration strategies.

• Guide risk management integration within cloud environments.

• Act as a trusted advisor, offering deep insights into AWS, Azure, GovCloud, and emerging cloud technologies.

• Influence business practices, ensuring seamless integration of cloud solutions within operational frameworks.

• Mentor junior team members, fostering technical excellence and knowledge-sharing.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ year of related experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu od degree.

• TS/SCI security clearance on Day 1.

• IAT Level II certification with the ability to obtain a IAT Level III within 6 months of hire date).

• Expertise in AWS, Azure, IBM, Oracle, and Google Cloud.

• Hands-on experience transitioning large-scale applications to IC ITE environments.

• Strong programming and infrastructure automation skills (BASH, JSON, YAML, Python, Terraform).

• Deep knowledge of Linux & Windows systems.

• Enterprise-level deployment of DNS, Directory Services, and HBSS.

• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity, (telework two days per week).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cloud architecture leadership in enterprise solutions.

• Experience designing, developing, and deploying complex AWS architectures.

• Hands-on expertise in CloudFormation, Lambda, and AWS developer tools.

• Advanced security implementation (STIG) and compliance best practices.

• Azure 900 Fundamentals certification.

• Special Access Program (SAP) experience.
