The Manager, Global Career Development collaborates with The Wasserman Center for Career Development, the Office of Global Programs, global site staff, the Office of Global Services, and faculty and School representatives to provide direction and strategic planning for global career development initiatives and programs across the University. The Manager assists students seeking internships and employment abroad. This position works in conjunction with unit leaders and on University-wide committees to develop tools, resources, staff trainings, and perform related tasks that support the career development of students across all NYU global sites as well as those interested in studying and/or working outside the US.
Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in a related fieldPreferred Education:Master's Degree in Higher Education, International Education, Counseling or related fieldRequired Experience:5+ years of relevant experience including career development/counseling, experiential learning, and/or program management required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Experience:Experience in an academic environment and with international, other experiential learning programs or exposure to study abroad or global programs is preferred.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including university partners/vendors; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and student information systems; excellent oral and written presentation skillsPreferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Language proficiency in Spanish, French, German, Italian, Hebrew, Arabic, Mandarin, or Czech preferred.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000 to $90,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
