Human Resources Recruiter

Job Summary

Responsible for Human Resources Programs (i.e. recruitment, new hire paperwork, orientation, training, employee relations); works collaboratively with the Director of Human Resources to provide input and assist with the design, implementation and administration of such programs. Maintains regular and open communication with the Director of Human Resources on interpretation and enforcement of Human Resources policies and issues to ensure consistency and standardization across the organization.


Responsibilities  

  • Manages all stages of recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checking, and onboarding for all company roles.
  • Partners with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop proactive recruitment plans.
  • Writes and maintains accurate job descriptions aligned with operational needs and organizational values.
  • Designs structured interview guides to support equitable, consistent hiring processes.
  • Trains department managers and team leaders in effective recruitment practices, including interviewing, candidate evaluation, and onboarding best practices.
  • Develops recruiting pipelines through community outreach, job boards, local schools, and referral programs.
  • Tracks and evaluates recruitment performance metrics and adjusts strategies as needed.
  • Creates and facilitates onboarding programs that introduce new hires to Mustard Seed Market’s culture, mission, policies, and service standards.
  • Collaborates with department leaders to develop and maintain job-specific training materials and learning modules.
  • Ensures onboarding and training programs are tracked, documented, and continuously improved based on feedback and performance trends.
  • Maintains accurate hiring and training records in the HR Information System (HRIS).
  • Supports workflow setup for onboarding tasks and documentation tracking within the HRIS.
  • Collaborates with HR team to troubleshoot basic system issues related to new hire data or training status.
  • Researches and interprets management trends and initiate recommendations on Company policies and practices to senior management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

Works in a non-smoking, normal store environment, where there is not physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, etc.


Requirements

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience; (Required)
  • Three years related recruitment or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)
  • (Required)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws
  • Proficient in posting, tracking, and optimizing job listings through various online job boards (e.g., Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter), ensuring effective candidate reach and response
  • Experienced in utilizing HRIS platforms, for managing recruitment, employee records, training, and reporting.
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to understand store operations
  • Microsoft Office Products/Word, Excel
