We’re seeking someone to join the Transformation team as a Director in Capital Planning to act as a Project Manager for various Capital Planning initiatives and governance requirements
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources. This is a Director level position within our Corporate Treasury & Capital Planning Job Family which is responsible for planning, managing, forecasting and optimizing capital, liquidity and funding resources; governance oversight of Treasury and Capital Planning; setting frameworks, policies and guidelines for appropriate management of these resources; managing regulatory deliverables and exams; managing CCAR/Capital Stress Testing process.

What you'll do in the role:
- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Responsible for and lead aspects of individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging in-depth knowledge of
Finance functional area, product and/or client segments
- Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; proactively identify ways to reduce risk in work
- Act as a culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm
standards
- Support cyclical planning sessions and own execution dashboard and status tracker
-Coordinate with key stakeholders across Risk and Finance to ensure deadlines are met, and assist with risk/ issue resolution
-Support change management/ process enhancements, control, and governance-related initiatives
-Assist in the production and coordination of presentations for Firm senior management and steering committees
What you'll bring to the role:
- In-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry
and competitive environment
- Ability to operate independently with respect to most job responsibilities
- Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and innovate processes
– Bachelor's degree and strong academic credentials
-Proven track record of great teamwork and ability to work across organizational boundaries
-Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail and accuracy is essential
- Excellent organizational skills
-Strong communication skills, both oral and written are essential, as the successful candidate will be dealing with clients and our partners across the various divisions
-Aptitude to multi-task, and work in a fast changing, dynamic environment
-Strong technical skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
-Regulatory reporting and/ or CCAR experience is a plus
-Diversity of thought
- At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
- This is NOT a senior leadership role.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
