Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global and domestic tax strategies aligned with business and family ownership goals.
- Serve as strategic advisor on tax matters including M&A, entity structuring, and succession planning.
- Manage S corporation and partnership taxation, including compliance and shareholder communications.
- Oversee construction industry-specific tax issues such as percentage-of-completion accounting and multi-state operations.
- Ensure accurate preparation and filing of all federal, state, local, and international tax returns.
- Collaborate with family office and external advisors on tax planning, estate, and trust matters.
- Identify and apply tax-saving strategies including SALT planning and tax credit utilization.
- Lead audit and risk management for IRS and multi-jurisdictional tax examinations.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA certification required
- JD or master’s degree in taxation preferred
