Working within the Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST) IT organization offers a unique opportunity to partner with teams working on groundbreaking advancements in spinal and cranial surgery. We are seeking a Business Relationship Analyst to join our IT team supporting the CST operating unit. In this role, you will partner with business leaders, IT teams, and external stakeholders to ensure technology solutions meet business needs and strategic goals. You will act as a liaison between the IT department and business functions, providing insights and translating business requirements into actionable IT solutions.

CAREERS THAT CHANGE LIVES

  • Implements and executes information technology strategies.
  • Partners with assigned client groups to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives of new and existing transformation efforts.
  • Proactively resolves IT and business issues.
  • Provides solutions through digital product innovation, creation and management of new products.
  • Responsible for and/or serves as IT liaison for all IT portfolio aspects, such as prioritization of projects and return of
    investments management.
  • Aligns IT strategies to business decision makers across Operating Units, Regions and Functions.
  • Dedicated toward converging business and IT for greatest enterprise outcomes.
  • Joint ownership of OU / Region / Function goals.
  • Navigating, Connecting and Orchestrating IT products and services to serve business objectives
  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with business units to gather and document requirements for IT systems, software, and infrastructure solutions.
  • Project Management: Lead or support cross-functional IT projects by acting as a business liaison. Ensure that projects are executed on time, within scope, and within budget, addressing any risks or issues that may arise.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, both within the IT function and across the business unit. Recommend and implement IT solutions that improve business efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance user satisfaction.

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Strongly Preferred:
    • 7+ years of experience in business relationship management or business analyst roles
    • Experience in the medical device, healthcare, or technology sectors
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and IT infrastructure
  • Experience managing or leading cross-functional IT projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations and standards, including FDA, HIPAA, and ISO 13485

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$116,000.00 - $174,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
