As we continue to expand and grow, we are seeking a dynamic Director of Product Operations to join our talented team.
As the Director of Product Operations, you will lead the evolution of our product development lifecycle, drive operational excellence, and foster cross-functional alignment across a large, complex organization. You will ensure that product priorities directly inform the analytics support we receive, and that analytics teams are aligned to the most critical business needs. You will be responsible for translating strategic vision into scalable systems, managing change initiatives, and ensuring that product operations are tightly integrated with analytics, engineering, and business priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Cross-Functional Partnership
Apply product discovery and delivery frameworks to enhance collaboration and achieve outstanding results.
Ensure product operations are aligned with customer success, support, and implementation teams to deliver seamless customer experiences and outcomes.
Balance the need for structured systems with the flexibility to adapt to evolving organizational needs.
Lead cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, marketing, sales, analytics and other teams by coordinating capacity planning, resolving conflicts, driving shared priorities, and establishing common ways of working.
Enable cross-functional teams by standardizing workflows, documentation practices, and communication rhythms that support efficient product delivery.
Strategy Deployment
Ensure effective execution and prioritization across all product lines and engineering teams.
Translate strategic vision into actionable plans and initiatives in collaboration with product leadership.
Continuously refine operational processes to streamline workflows and improve delivery effectiveness.
Support product lifecycle decisions including investment and sunsetting by evaluating product maturity and capability gaps.
Change Leadership
Coach and support teams in adopting new systems and processes, building trust and driving adoption.
Lead change management efforts, anticipating challenges and proactively implementing solutions.
Foster a culture of innovation through process improvements and new methodologies.
Provide leadership and guidance during periods of transition.
Performance Optimization
Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track KPIs, delivery timelines, and process efficiency, while championing the adoption of product operations & roadmap tooling (e.g., Jira, Productboard, Aha!).
Provide regular operational insights to executive leadership, translating delivery metrics and team performance into strategic recommendations.
Define and monitor KPIs to evaluate operational effectiveness, using data insights to identify improvements and drive performance.
Implement governance frameworks that ensure product releases meet regulatory, security, and quality standards.
Build and evolve operational frameworks that scale with the organization, ensuring consistency across product lines and delivery teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
10+ years of experience in product operations, portfolio management, or strategy within a tech product company or similar environment.
Demonstrated expertise in deploying strategic initiatives and driving organizational change.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in project management and product development tools and methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with a track record of leveraging data to inform decision-making.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proven success operating in large, matrixed organizations with multiple product lines and engineering teams.
Comfort with ambiguity and a strategic mindset to navigate complex, evolving business needs.
Advance knowledge of Jira, Aha!, Miro, Powerpoint and Excel preferred

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
