Job Overview

The Social Media Creative Design Specialist will have a strong graphic design background combined with experience in social media. The Specialist will be responsible for visual effects and design assets across platforms like Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and Snapchat. While the role involves content capture, the primary focus will be on design and ensuring polished delivery of assets that bring the brand's vision to life. The individual will collaborate closely with social creators, copywriters, and the strategy team to produce high-quality work that drives engagement and performance.  The Specialist will have a deep understanding of social media best practices and paid ad units. They will need to be proficient in Figma and asset delivery.

What You Will Do

  • Design and template visually engaging ad units, feed content, and other creative assets optimized for social media platforms. 
  • Develop and deliver high-quality assets that align with brand guidelines and creative best practices. 
  • Leverage expertise in graphic design to enhance short-form video content, adding overlays, animations, and other design elements as needed. 
  • Help establish a visual brand system for social media and ensure synergy across social media platforms.
  • Assist with content capture when needed using both DSLR cameras and iPhones to ensure the highest quality assets. 
  • Partner with the team during live events and shoots to ensure design requirements are considered during production. 
  • Support content production during live events either on site and virtual through real-time editing, design and delivery for publishing.
  • Work closely with senior social creative leaders, copywriters, and strategy teams to align on creative vision and ensure cohesive storytelling across all platforms. 
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute innovative ideas for campaigns and content. 
  • Stay up to date on platform-specific trends, ad units, and design requirements to create best-in-class content. 
  • Optimize designs and layouts for various social media platforms, ensuring compliance with size and resolution standards. 
  • Prioritize multiple projects and manage timelines efficiently to meet tight deadlines. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all assets, coordinating closely with production and design teams.   
  • Adapt quickly to changing circumstances to capture spontaneous moments. 
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities. 

Skills You Will Need

  • 3-5 years of experience in graphic design for social media content creation, preferably within retail, fashion, beauty or at an eCommerce brand. 
  • Experience in motion graphics and animation for social media.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing graphic design work for social media platforms, including ad units and short-form video content. 
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and other relevant design tools. 
  • Expertise in native editing and designing on social media platforms including Instagram and TikTok. 
  • Proficient in capturing content with DSLR cameras and iPhones.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, ad units, and best practices for design and layout. 
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and detail, with a deep understanding of social media trends and best practices. 
  • Familiarity with live streaming platforms and tools.
  • Experience working in and delivering assets through figma. 
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with creative teams to align on vision and execution. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities to handle live events and tight deadlines. 

Who You Are

  • Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
