Compensation: $70 - $70 / Hourly

THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Content Associate to help us create high-quality SAT practice test explanations for students using Khan Academy’s platform. This role will focus on creating clear, engaging, and informative explanations for Practice Tests of Official SAT® Prep. As a Content Creator, you will contribute to the development of content that enhances the SAT learning experience, helping students improve their performance by understanding the concepts tested in practice exams.

Our content team consists of creators from around the world who develop videos, articles, and practice questions. Your work will directly contribute to the educational mission of Khan Academy by providing free, accessible resources for learners everywhere.

What you’ll do:

• Write detailed, student-friendly explanations for SAT practice test questions, ensuring clarity and understanding
• Drafting net new SAT-aligned practice questions to deepen item banks
• Develop, revise, and expand articles that support explanations and strengthen student understanding and achievement
• Collaborate with the content team and other departments to ensure accuracy and alignment
• Use data and user feedback to continuously improve the quality of the test prep experience and related content
• Track the usage and performance of your content to improve engagement
• Drive the expansion of our practice test bank

WHAT YOU BRING

• Fluency with TeX (LaTeX, MathJax, etc.)
• Proven experience in content creation for educational materials (minimum 2 years of experience in writing or content development)
• Proven experience tutoring or teaching preparation for the SAT (minimum 2 years of experience)
• Strong understanding of SAT content and test-taking strategies
• Ability to break down complex concepts into clear, concise explanations
• Experience with educational technology platforms, content management systems, or a willingness to learn new tools
• Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Proven cross-cultural competency skills demonstrating self-awareness, awareness of other, and the ability to adopt inclusive perspectives, attitudes, and behaviors to drive inclusion and belonging throughout the organization.
